In Greek mythology Pygmalion was a sculptor who carved a woman out of ivory and brought her to life. This woman was Galatea. After seeing the women of Cyprus prostituting themselves Pygmalion decided that he did not want to have a woman. Once he created Galatea he thought she was so fair and realistic that he fell in love with her.
If I could bring any character to real life it would be Asher Lev from My Name is Asher Lev. In the story it tells of the hardships that he overcame being a devout Jew and an artist. He had to go against his family’s beliefs and become completely independent in order to pursue what he wanted to do. I think it would be incredibly intriguing to be able to pick at his brain and be able to see what he was like.
