Pygmalion was a sculptor who was sick of women. So logically, he decided to make a sculpture of one. This sculpture became more lovely and beautiful than any mortal woman and Pygmalion found himself falling in love. Aphrodite of course noticed. When he made a sacrifice to her, she went him a sign of her favor. He returned home to find that the statue was alive! Her name was Galatea. They were madly in love and got married and lived happily ever after.
I probably go for The Doctor being brought to life, but only if I could be his companion. If not, I'd probably go for Agent Cooper from Twin Peaks. He's a pretty cool guy and I'd enjoy solving mysteries with him. Honestly, any fictional character would be awesome.
