Pandora's Box

Pandora's box is the story of Pandora, Zeus's daughter. After Zeus orders Hephaestus to make him a daughter he gives him Pandora. Zeus gives her a box with a large lock on it and sends her to marry Epimetheus. Zeus did this because he was mad at Epimetheus's brother Prometheus. One night when Epimetheus was sleeping Pandora stole the key to the box and opened it. When she opened it all things evil in the world flew out. She closed the box and to show Epimetheus she opened it again and out flew hope.
I find it strange that Zeus's own daughter was the one that released all of the evil's into the world. Shouldn't she being the sun of the strongest god be perfect? Also doesn't it seem a little extreme that Zeus would releash all the evils onto all of mankind over a fire, one of the most important creations?
