SOUP

In the begining there was a man named Isaac, the son of Abraham. He had two sons, Jacob and Esau. Even though they were twins Esau was the first-born, and so he had the birth right privileges. God predicts that Jacob will dominate Esau, and that Esau will serve Jacob. One day Esau came home from hunting, and he was hungry. Jacob offered to give Esau soup if he gave up his birth right to him. Esau agreed for some reason. So Jacob wins. I believe that birth right is something that people envy in others. In reality, this is an idea that makes sense. It seems that if you reward your son with a great inheritance of money and power, they will in turn owe the parent their loyalty and respect. It seems like birth right is one of these things that will always occur, and it strengthens the bond of family, so it isn't necessarily a harmful thing.
